Logan Newton

CP/BOCO, President, Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist

Logan Newton began working with Achilles Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2004. He is a second-generation O&P practitioner specializing in lower limb prosthetics and treatment of plagiocephaly through Cranial Remolding orthoses.

Logan started his professional career as an O&P technician, focusing on fabricating and constructing above-knee, below-knee and upper-extremity prosthetics. After deciding to pursue the career path, he studied prosthetics and orthotics at California State University Dominguez Hills. Upon completing formal education, he apprenticed under David A. Wegner CPO and Daniel Newton CP, furthering his expertise in prosthetic care. Newton, CP was born in San Gabriel, CA and grew up dreaming of becoming an artist.  For 41 years as President and CEO of Achilles Prosthetics and Orthotics, Inc. he has found an outlet for his artistic abilities providing high quality and compassionate medical care to patients in need of prosthetic and orthotic services.

Donald F. Newton

CPO, Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist

Growing up in Hacienda Heights, CA. Donald came to an early realization that he wanted to be involved in the prosthetics and orthotics field. At the age of eleven, Donald saw prosthetic legs and arms at his brother’s prosthetic work and knew he wanted to do that for the rest of his life. Donald always loved to work with his hands. Chris grew up in Denver, CO. and received his undergraduate BA from the University of Colorado, Boulder majoring in Integrative Physiology.  After graduating from CU Boulder, Chris attended and received his post graduate degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Zak has been around prosthetics as far as he can remember since his dad is an above knee amputee from way before Zak was born. David A. Wegner is the co-founder of Achilles Prosthetics and Orthotics, Inc. An American Board for Certification certified Orthotist and Prosthetist, David completed his education at UCLA in 1977 and has more than 40 years of experience in the field – most of which has been at Achilles.

Keith comes to the prosthetic and orthotic industry from a completely different angle. Anthony is a Bakersfield native. He was born in Bakersfield though he primarily grew up in Lamont, CA where he attended Arvin High School before returning to Bakersfield in 2009. Anthony began his career at Achilles in 2014 as a reimbursement representative. Due to his extensive knowledge of insurance reimbursement, along with office procedures from previous jobs, he became Achilles Administrative Operations Manager in June of 2016.

In 1997, Rachel Quezada joined Achilles Prosthetics and Orthotics as a receptionist and eventually progressed to office manager. Rachel’s enthusiasm for the medical field began when she was just 15 through a student program provided by her high school.
